Wooda Lakes was started over 14 years ago as a family run business. Originally, Wooda Lakes started out as a trout farm, but has since grown to allow for 5 choices of holiday lodges and the five lakes it encompasses today.
More About the Wooda Lakes Setting
Approximately 22 acres of the Devon countryside belongs to this resort in Holsworthy where the five fishing lakes are available year around for anglers and pro fishermen.
Each lake scales 1.5 acres in size, each with well stocked fish such as roach, tench, carp, and bream, provides the ideal locale for both a prosperous and relaxing fishing experience in Northern England.
In Wooda Lakes, the fishing is limited to 18 swims on each of its five lakes, making the resort an overall secluded and peaceful fishing experience for everyone who stays at the Wooda Lakes. Wooda Lakes does not have a closed season.
Fishing at Wooda Lakes in North Devon
Anglers and fishermen can come at any point during the year to enjoy the fishing offered in Holsworthy. If for some reason the fishing on one of the lakes becomes too dull, there is also superb sea fishing located on the coast as well. There is lots of other choices of areas to fish and there are a few other day fisheries within a couple miles of the 12 lodges.
The lodge retreat is a 15-minute drive from the seaside resort town of Bude, and a five minute trek away from the actual village of Holsworthy.
The village of Holsworthy is home to supermarkets, tackle shops, and general tourist information, so there’s no need to feel too disconnected from the outside world while you are enjoying your time in the tranquil English countryside.
